i think my favorite headcanon might be that victor says yuuri’s name Like That because at the banquet when yuuri was thoroughly smashed he was correcting how victor said his name like “not yuri. yuuri. yuuuuuuuuuuuuuri!” mostly because the though of yuuri with an arm looped around victor’s neck, standing way too close and wagging a finger in his face is Very Precious and the fact that victor remembers that and makes sure to say it exactly like yuuri taught him makes me feel Very Blessed

And then Victor shows up in Hasetsu saying Yuuri’s name perfectly, but Yuuri doesn’t remember teaching him how. And he’s thinking, “Wow, how’d he know?”
