I have a drabble for you! A couple people mentioned wanting to read what happened in the hallway of the karaoke place between Yuuri and Shuji, soooo…
Yuuri shut the door to the box, cutting off the very unexpected choice of some metal band he’d never heard of that Noda-Chan was currently screaming into the mic.
He paused a few steps down the hallway and went over the couple of orders people had asked him to place before continuing down the hall. Loud metal popped into existence and Yuuri looked back toward their box. Shuji had come out and was heading for him
“Did you want me to get you something too, Shuji-kun?”
Shuji smiled at him and easily caught up. He swiped his blue bangs out of his eyes. “No. I. Just wanted to talk to you for a minute and that is impossible in the box while Noda-Chan is getting her aggression out.
Yuuri smiled,he couldn’t help it. The image of Noda-Chan yelling into the mic had been really funny. He was about to ask Shuji what he wanted to talk about when shuji started talking again.
“You have a great smile, Yuuri.”
Yuuri could feel his face heating. He knew that Shuji liked him, had been told and eventually could maybe sort of see it himself, but the compliment took him by surprise.
So did the way. Shuji wrapped his fingers around Yuuri’s wrist and then pulled him in close and off balance, fingers of his other hand landing on his cheek guiding him closer.
Yuuri let his eyes close as Shuji’s lips claimed his. It was probably the most competent first kiss he’d had with someone… Especially recently. Shuji’s lips were soft but demanding and Yuuri enjoyed it and started kissing him back. He could feel Shuji’s smile against his lips and Yuuri stepped forward, pushing Shuji back the final step until he was against the wall.
As Shuji’s hand tightened on his hip, Yuuri came back to his senses. This shouldn’t be happening, especially in the hallway at a popular karaoke place. He pulled away, breaking the kiss. Shuji didn’t seem to mind, he smiled at Yuuri.
“Finally.”
Yuuri flushed. “You know what I’m going to say, don’t you?”
“Of course. You’re moving. I’m moving. This will never work out and you’re still hurting from the way Shouta ended things. You don’t want to date and we can’t get caught because you’re still under the impression that they’re going to kick you out of school for any small indiscretion.”
Yuuri’s mouth fell open a little as he listened to Shuji list all the reasons that anything happening between them was an awful idea.
“But you have to admit, a secret kiss in the hallway at the karaoke box while our friends keep singing just a few feet away, oblivious, is pretty EXCITE.”
Yuuri couldn’t help himself, he laughed.
Yes, Shuji will ALWAYS and FOREVER try to work EXCITE into a convo. He can’t help himself.
Also… I have about 8900 words of the next chapter done, aka, it’s almost done. Like for reals. I only have a couple scenes left to write, I think. I think you’ll all be happy with it.
And I really really need to thank the people who have given me ko-fis because it means so so so much to me. You have no idea.
The Truth About You. Rated E. The son of tech tycoon Yakov Feltsman, Viktor is happily married to Yuuri Katsuki and completely unaware that his sweet husband is actually an infamous corporate spy working for his father. That is, until CEO Seung-Gil Lee shows up at one of Viktor’s charity dinners in St. Petersburg with a simple warning message: “You’ll be next.” Practically penniless, Seung-Gil tells Viktor that Yuuri was behind the hostile takeover of his company by a set of ruthless Silicon Valley investors. Unaware that Yuuri works for his family, Viktor believes his husband is out to ruin his father’s company and partners with Seung-Gil to stop Yuuri. But Yuuri has a story of his own, one of deception, greed, and lust, in which former corporate spy Seung-Gil framed Yuuri’s father and left with his invention. Who is Viktor to believe? “Me!” Yuuri squeaks, “I’m your husband! Vitya, you seriously think I’d ever hurt you?” Or, innocent and sheltered, socialite Viktor discovers he can’t trust anyone, except maybe his husband, who is actually a professional liar.
Johnny Weir was at Crunchyroll Expo again this year, and again had his own panel (thread from the panel here), and probably the most important take away here is that the rumors from a few months ago were true and that he is indeed involved in the Yoi movie, Ice Adolescence, and he’s even met Kubo herself. Also, considering that he talked about “big people being involved”, I think we can assume that the rumors about Jeffrey Buttle creating something for the movie (most likely choreography) were also true.
That being said, keep in mind Johnny probably only did the choreo/voice work for the movie, he’s not closely involved with the project so his release date estimations are, well, just that – estimations. It’ll likely be the animation that will take the longest and it’s impossible to say how long that may take – the Stammi Vicino scene from episode 1 apparently took them 3 months to animate, and we can probably expect a similar level of quality here. The main questions is whether their time/resource management has improved since 2016, but again, that’s impossible to say for now. All we know is that the movie is supposed to come out in 2019, but the lack of a specific date is probably proof that they simply aren’t close enough to the finish line yet to commit and say “Yes, this will come out on this day in perfect cinematic quality that you would expect.” As we near closer to 2019, more news will come and I think the release date will soon become apparent. For now, all we have is patience and Johnny’s justified hype.
Got a nostalgia kick the other day while watching some old Bleach episodes and afterwards I couldn’t help myself from making a YOI+Bleach AU hehe, I even tried out a new brush and it was a lot of fun c:
